Nearby Stories was born from a simple belief: the most interesting stories aren’t always in novels or on Netflix. They happen at bus stops, family dinners, first days at work, and long walks home. We created this space to collect those moments — from all kinds of people, in all kinds of situations.

We publish short stories across every emotion and genre. Funny ones that make you snort-laugh. Moving ones that hit unexpectedly. Nostalgic ones that take you right back. Strange ones you couldn’t make up. We don’t have a single mood here — we have all of them.

Who writes here? Everyday people, just like you. No writing degree required. Just a real story and the courage to tell it.
